The Eargo app supports Eargo 5, 6, SE, 7, and 8. Connect your system and use Sound Match to personalize your Eargo devices according to your hearing and listening preferences.
Eargo Ultrasonic Remote Control:
Several app features, including Sound Match and the remote control to adjust Volume, Programs, etc., use your phone’s speakers to transmit a one-way acoustic signal or command to your Eargo devices in-ear. Learn more here.
The make and model of your mobile device may impact the performance outcomes of these features. A mandatory Software Update for your Eargo hearing devices, which included improvements for a more robust Eargo UltraSonic experience, was released via the mobile app on 2/14/23. Please ensure you're running Eargo app v3.0 or later and have completed this critical Software Update. You can learn more here.
APPLE COMPATIBILITY:
The Eargo app is compatible with Apple devices running iOS® 15 or later and is only available for download from the US Apple App Store.
To check your iPhone's current OS version:
Open the Settings app.
Scroll down and tap General.
Tap About.
Look for iOS Version or Software Version near the top of the screen.
To ensure we continue providing the best security and introducing helpful new features, we will be updating the minimum operating system (OS) software required to run the Eargo app on Apple devices in the coming weeks.
We're excited to share that Eargo app version 5.3.0 is anticipated to launch in Late July 2026. Once this new app version is available in the Apple App Store, your phone must be running iOS® 17 or higher to receive future app updates, bug fixes, or new features.

ANDROID COMPATIBILITY:
The Eargo app is compatible with Android™ devices running Android 7 or later and is only available for download from the US Google Play Store.
Android phone menus can vary slightly depending on the make of your device (e.g. Samsung, Google, Motorola, LG, etc.), but the path to check your current OS version is generally the same:
Open your phone's Settings app.
Scroll all the way to the bottom and tap About phone (sometimes called About device or System).
Look for Android version.
*Note: On some phones (like Samsung Galaxy), you may need to tap Software information after selecting "About phone" to see the version.
Note: If you're having trouble finding it on an Android, open Settings, tap the Search bar at the top, and simply type "Android version" to go straight there.

*Note: If your phone is older and cannot update to the new minimum software version, please consider upgrading to a newer mobile device to continue using the Eargo apps without interruption. You will still be able to use your current app version for now, but you will stop receiving newer updates, bug fixes, and security patches. Over time, your current app may stop working as expected.
