If the LED lights on your charger are not getting up to full-strength (4 white lights) after a full-night charge, or, if your hearing aids seem weak, or don't appear to be holding their charge well, please follow these troubleshooting steps:

Be sure that your charger itself is fully-charged:
- Don't let it go more than 2 days without plugging it into a power source.

Deep cleaning of the Hearing Aids:
1. Remove the petals and the mic-caps from the hearing aids.
2. Brush off both ends of the hearing aids now that the petal and cap are off.
3. Wipe off the body of the hearing aids with the microfiber cloth.
4. With warm, soapy water (Dawn dish-detergent), wash the petal and mic-cap. Pinch and roll the petal between your thumb and pointer-finger to ensure internal debris and water is dislodged.
5. Fully dry the petal and mic-cap before returning them to the hearing aids.
6. Additional Cleaning Tips:

  • Airsquares Earbud Cleaning Putty or Bostik Blue-Tack Putty - Specially formulated cleaning putty that is designed to remove wax, dirt, dust, and other gunk from the speaker grille and surfaces of AirPods.

    • Tested and has been found effective on our hearing aids

    • Gently stick/remove cleaning putty up to 10 times on the Sound Outlet (speaker) and Sound Inlet (microphone)

    • Wipe and repeat as needed

  • Easy Wipe 70%Isopropyl Alcohol Wipe - 70% IPA Easy Wipes clean, sanitize and disinfect any surface

Deep cleaning of the Charger:
1. With the hearing aids removed, use the cleaning tool (wiper blade) to 'scratch' the sensor in the middle of the charger (See page 22 of Quick Start Guide).
2. Use the brush to brush off the sensor and the charger cradles (where the hearing aids sit).
3. Use the microfiber cloth to wipe out the charger.
4. Return the hearing aids.

Other Suggestions:
1. Try charging without the LID attached to the charger (sometimes the lid can 'bump' the hearing aid petals or removal threads and dislodge them from their charging pockets).
[In this set-up, the charger must be plugged into the wall.]
2. Try charging without the petals attached to the hearing aids.
3. Swap places in the charger (i.e. right hearing aid on the left side and visa versa)

4. Allow the charger to drain completely

  • Take the lid off and unplug the charger

  • May take up to 48 hours to completely discharge

Cleaning your Tools

1. Don't forget to wash your cleaning brush/wiper-blade and cleaning cloth on a routine basis as well
