Charging Your Eargos
With consistent unplugged use, a fully charged Eargo charger lasts about 2 days. It takes about 4 hours to recharge the Charger and Eargo devices. Your Charger continues to charge the devices inside, even when unplugged from the wall.
Your Eargo Hearing Device batteries will last about 16 hours per full charge. They use inductive charging, and it takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge from a depleted state. We recommend charging overnight. Please don’t store your Eargo system in the bathroom, or anywhere else that moisture levels are high.
When the Lid is removed and your Eargos are not in the Charger, the Cradle indicator lights illuminate in white to help guide you with correct Hearing Device placement.
To see the charge level of your Eargo system with devices inside the Charger, simply lift the Lid and the indicator lights will illuminate.
Hearing Devices actively charging:
When your Eargo devices are correctly placed and actively charging, the Hearing Device and Cradle Indicator Lights slowly pulse white.
Hearing Device charge level corresponds to the number of steady white lights:
One steady white light and one pulsing: 25-50% charged.
Two steady white lights and one pulsing: 50-75% charged.
Three steady white lights and one pulsing: 75-90% charged
When fully charged, you’ll see four solid white Hearing Device Indicator Lights and pulsing Cradle lights.
Steady red lights mean the Hearing Devices are not charging. Remove and correctly replace into the Charger to clear the red lights:
Charger actively charging:
The Charger Indicator Light will slowly pulse white when the Charger is plugged in and actively charging.
Charger fully charged: When the Charger is plugged in and fully charged, the charger indicator will illuminate in white:
Adequate charge: when the Charger is unplugged and more than 25% full, the charger indicator will be solid white.
Low charge: A rapid white double flash means the charger is less than 25% charged.
Indicator lights turn off after approximately 10 seconds.
This is to minimize battery drain and for convenience, so that the lights don’t disturb you, for example at your bedside while you sleep.
Three years is the typical life expectancy of most in-the-ear hearing aids.
At that point, it is usually time for a new pair.
You can leave Eargos charging.
Your Eargo Charger can be plugged into the wall indefinitely without damage to the battery. Eargo devices can also be left in the Charger for an extended period without fear of overcharging or damaging the devices.
To maximize battery life, charge your Hearing Devices once per day.
