To insert your Eargo devices into the charger, flip them over so that the device removal thread is pointing upwards. Position them over the charger with the eartip pointing in.

Release the device and it will settle into place inside the cradle:

Make sure that the device removal threads are centered inside the lid when you close the charger:

If you continue to see the “Insert or reinsert your Eargo devices…” screen in the mobile app, additional cleaning may be warranted before you can continue.

First, remove the devices from the charger. Use the cleaning tool wiper to remove wax and debris from the sensor and hearing device cradles.

These areas must be clear of any debris for your Eargo devices to communicate with your charger:

Finish removing wax and debris from the sensor with the cleaning tool brush:

Wipe the hearing device cradles with the cleaning cloth:

Next, brush the eartip to remove wax and debris from the tip to the holes. The eartip must be clear of debris for your Eargo devices to communicate with your charger.

Wipe the devices with the cleaning cloth:

Next, hold the device firmly around its middle. With your other hand, grasp both layers of the eartip and peel it away to expose the sound outlet. Gently use the cleaning tool brush to dislodge any debris that may have been hiding under your eartip. The sound outlet must also be clear of debris for your Eargo devices to communicate with your charger.

When ready, place your Eargo devices back into your charger as instructed above and select Continue in the mobile app. If you’re able to proceed, debris was the root cause of the problem. You may reassemble your devices at your convenience. To do so, align the sound outlet on your Eargo device with the center of the eartip. Press into place until you feel a click.

If the “Insert or Reinsert your Eargo devices…” screen returns in the mobile app in the short term, consider replacing your eartip with a new one. Persistent debris in your eartip may continue to block communication between your hearing device and the charger.
