EARGO 8
*Please note: Eargo 5, 6, SE, & 7 chargers do not have a physical reset button. Therefore, the following instructions do not apply to these products.
The Eargo 8 charger reset button is located directly next to the USB-C port and should not be confused with the microphone port located between the hearing device cradles inside.
If instructed to reset the Eargo 8 charger, we recommend you activate the internal button with a straightened paperclip. Colored paperclips with the plastic coating will likely be too thick.
First, ensure the left and right hearing device and charger LEDs have all turned off.
Next, carefully insert the straight end of the paperclip into the small hole next to the USB-C port and activate the button with a momentary press (not a push and hold).
In approximately 5 seconds, you should see the charger charge state LED illuminate to indicate the reset was successful. If your hearing devices were inside the charger, the associated hearing device LEDs will also show charge state. LEDs will time out again after approximately 12 seconds.
If you don’t have access to a paperclip, several alternatives can be used, such as an earring back, a toothpick, and a SIM card removal tool from a cellular phone. A thin safety or sewing pin, if used carefully, could also be used, but be cautious not to damage the charger.
