When connecting an Eargo charger to the app during initial onboarding or from the Devices menu, the Eargo app will search for any Eargo charger within range of your cell phone. The average range for Bluetooth is approximately 33 feet. When discovered, the detected charger will display a solid blue charger indicator light. To connect to the charger identified, select “Continue” on the screen displayed in the Eargo app. To connect to a different nearby charger, choose “Search for another charger.”

Once you select “Continue,” a system pop-up will appear and ask you to confirm the pairing to your phone.

  • If you select “Cancel”, your Charger will display a red flashing charger indicator light and the mobile app will alert you that it could not connect, prompting you to “Try Again.” If you select “Try Again,” the process described above will repeat.

  • If you select “Pair,” the Eargo app will pair your charger to your mobile device via Bluetooth and save any necessary information to easily connect again in the future.

Once successfully connected, the mobile app will display a confirmation message on screen. Your Eargo charger will now show up on the list of connected devices under the Bluetooth settings for your mobile device. In addition, your device information will be saved in the Eargo app and is accessible anytime under the Devices menu.

In the event that you delete and reinstall the Eargo app or if you forget your Eargo charger from your list of connected devices via the Bluetooth settings on your mobile device, you may need to repeat the pairing process to re-establish a connection with your Eargo charger.
