In some cases, closing an app to shut it down can be helpful and necessary when you've exhausted other troubleshooting methods.

The steps to close an app can vary depending on the age, make, and model of your phone. If you're still not sure how to close an app, we recommend you open your preferred internet browser and search for "How do I close an app on a/an [insert make and model of your phone]?" Video support for your specific device may be available through services like YouTube.

Additional troubleshooting:

If closing the app does not resolve the issue you're experiencing, try the following steps:

  1. Make sure you have the latest version of the app.

  2. Uninstall then reinstall the app.

  3. Restart your phone.
