Your Eargo 8 system is wireless charging mat-compatible. The charging coil is located on the back of the charger, so the charger should be placed on the mat with the Eargo logo and LEDs facing up. Please use the power cord/adaptor that came with the wireless mat to plug in the mat. If the wireless mat did not include its own cord/power adaptor, please consult the wireless charging mat’s user guide to select a compatible cord/adaptor.
When correctly placed on or removed from a powered charging mat, the Eargo charger’s LEDs will show current charge state for ~12 seconds and then time out. For more information on Eargo LED behavior, please see the Use and Care Guide included in your new system box. Charging time will vary when the Eargo system is charged using the included USB-C cord and adaptor versus a wireless charging mat.
A fully charged charger will recharge the hearing devices up to 14 times and fully charged hearing devices will last up to 16 hours. Please choose somewhere other than the bathroom to charge, as long-term exposure to moisture can harm the components.
The Eargo 8 system is not compatible with Apple-proprietary MagSafe chargers. It has been tested with the wireless mats listed below:
